Agriculture | n. m.
a machine that can be either self-propelled or fitted onto a tractor and that is used for shaking. It is made up of a clamp that is adjusted around the trunk and transmits vibrations to it, thus making fruits fall off.

Example

[This machine is] a high frequency olive vibrator, hooking to the front of the tractor. [It has a] hydraulic system with piston pumps of one mass, driven by electric control.

Additional information

it shows 95% shaking effectiveness, which however decreases along with tree size because horizontal and pendular branches are worse at transmitting vibrations than upright ones. There exist models where the machine has a big umbrella below it in order to gather in the falling fruits, the reason why it is also called a "harvester".

Agriculture | n. m.
a small machine, carried by a harvester, that is used for shaking and is made up of a mechanised pole with a hook at the end of it that is adjusted around branches and transmits vibrations to them, thus making fruits fall off.

Example

The mechanical vibrator consists of 3 different parts as: Pole with the handle, vibration head with the vibration mechanism fixed inside, the stick to which is carried out the final vibration.
