a kind of oliviculture developed since the technological revolution of the olive oil sector in the second half of the 20th century and whose main aim is to improve the sector"s productivity and working conditions.

Example

For modern oliviculture it is necessary to adopt new cultivars derived either from traditional or modern technologies for genetic improvement, or from the selection among the numerous genotypes in the Mediterranean Basin which are estimated to be around 4000 between cultivars and accessions.
