Commerce | n. phr.
a distribution channel composed of all the intermediaries involved in the process of marketing a product through the sales system of traditional shops.

Example

Even in the European countries where the conventional channel dominates, there is recently a growth of "alternative" channels, such as organic catering (school canteens and hospital canteens), and short channel (direct sales, flea markets, box scheme) which combine the needs of regular consumers of organic products with those of small independent farmers.
